Grateful

I am grateful for:

Every beat of my heart
Every breath I take, especially the ones I notice
Every affectionate kiss, stroke, cuddle and smile
Every time my partner chooses to make love with me
Every mouthful of water
Every taste of food, the nourishment that my body receives, the awareness of my body’s awesome systems
Every passionate note of music
Every tantalizing scent
Every opportunity to observe Beauty
Every emotion and hunger I am given
Every dream I have
Every shared intimacy and revealed fragility I am privileged to hear
Every growth of strength I observe in those who are close to me, especially my offspring, both generic and adopted
Every creative thought that wells up within or comes through me from The source of all creativity
Every animal, flying, on the ground, or in water
Every tree, flower algae or other life form
Every mountain, Rock, grain of sand
Every pattern and system that creates the comfort of order
Every irrational disorder that provides laughter, fun and stimulates awareness of my crazy sense of self and its limitations
Every kindness, given and received.
Every birth, death and resurrection
Every spirit that reveals love towards me, especially my genetic family, past and present

I am grateful for Being, being connected to all that exists in time, and to all the energy that exists outside of time,
For authenticity, and for every time someone accepts me for who I am without judgment,
For Abundance in my imagination, for inner wisdom,
For the deep wisdom of pain and the experience of joy,
For Awareness that I am part of an inexplicable intention to improve, for every willingness to remove whatever holds back grace.

I am grateful for every soul- drop in the universal soul ocean of love, especially those whose special spirit-affinity is close and permeable with mine

In short, I am grateful for life.

“if we acquire a good through exchange, effort or achievement, or by right, then we don’t typically feel gratitude. Gratitude is an emotion we feel in response to receiving something good which is undeserved”

(Lacewing, 2016).
