« Glossary Index

In science, we define ‘creativity’ as an idea that is novel, good, and useful.

Creative imagination or original ideas, use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.

This may be cooking dinner in a new way, in the production of an artistic work, or a spontaneous new song. The created item may be intangible (such as an idea, a scientific theory, a musical composition, or a joke) or a physical object (such as an invention, a literary work, or a painting).

Some believe that there is an element of the divine in all creative endeavor.
