« Glossary Index

Although Polytheism is a word that comes from the Greek Polus (many) theos (god) each god is usually a way of identifying a human need or or understanding, and most polytheistic religions still conceive of all gods conforming to an overarching spiritual force or primary god (‘Brahman’ in Hinduism).
