Group

« Glossary Index

A group is a collection of people with some common characteristics or purpose.

In LISN a group is created as either a small LISN_circle or as a hierarchical LISN group.

LISN_circles [LISN CIRCLE] are intentionally small (Typically less than 9) people who come together in a circle of respect, and both listen and share from the heart. It is these small groups that allow participants’ stories to be heard.

Large groups exist in order to identify with those who share the same belief or intent as stated by the group. These can be any of the other GROUPS BY TYPE, such as :

Celebration of Life  Ethical and Moral Relationships Spiritual, but not religious Suffering Support Teaching/Religion Such larger groups have their own purposes, and may have LISN_circles within the hierarchy, for example most religions encourage small LISN_Circles.
